Meta Is Killing Encrypted DM's on Instagram

Meta is removing end-to-end encryption from Instagram DMs on May 8, 2026. Their excuse? "Very few people were using it." But they never made it the default and never made it easy to find. This is what happens when governments pressure tech companies, who cave and call it a "business decision."
