Precision is the amount of detail in a measurement. Accurate measurement depends on choosing the right tool and reading it correctly. You should always estimate one digit beyond the smallest marked division. Every measurement includes some uncertainty because the last digit is estimated, and more precise tools reduce that uncertainty.
